Shipping Policy

Barn Depot makes every effort to provide customers with accurate shipping estimates, however, occasionally the shipping costs can change between the time an estimate is given, an order is placed and actually shipped. Once an actual shipping date is established Barn Depot will then verify shipping charges and make changes, if necessary, to the original estimate. Barn Depot customers are responsible for any shipping increases and will be credited for any shipping decrease.

Barn Depot photographs all items that are packaged and or crated for shipment. The photographs are kept in the customer file in case a claim for shipping damage is made. The photos ensure that proper packaging and or crating procedures were followed. If an item is received damaged it is the customer's responsibility to report the item damage to Barn Depot within 5 days from the date of receipt. Barn Depot will not be responsible for any items reported damaged after 5 days from the date of receipt of items.

Residential deliveries have delivery notification which allows the customer to set up a delivery time with the shipping company. The customer is responsible for receiving items off the truck in a timely manner. The truck driver does not have to, and most times will not help to unload items. When possible (3' x 4' long or less) there is a lift gate option chosen to get items to the ground. A signature and inspection is required AT DELIVERY. If an item is received damaged it is the customer's responsibility to report the item damage to Barn Depot within 5 days from the date of receipt. Barn Depot will not be responsible for any items reported damaged after 5 days from the date of receipt of items.

Business and Loading Dock Deliveries require delivery acceptance times when setting up the delivery address. It is the customer's responsibility to unload items. The manner in which pallets or packages are taken off the truck is the responsibility of the person operating the fork truck. The truck driver only has to get the items to the back of the truck. A signature and inspection is required AT DELIVERY. If an item is received damaged it is the customer's responsibility to report the item damage to Barn Depot within 5 days from the date of receipt. Barn Depot will not be responsible for any items reported damaged after 5 days from the date of receipt of items.

If an item or items are damaged the following is REQUIRED to file a claim for reimbursement:

Proof of Delivery (BOL) with damages noted.
Pictures of the damaged item/items
A written description of the damages and what is believed needed to replace and or repair.
